This online experience was given to me free in exchange for a review (this review, to be precise). The Panic Rooms put out requests for anyone interested and I immediately put my hand up, knowing how fantastic the company is, and that they’ve done a great job of getting online experiences up and running. Having already completed a couple of their rooms previously we decided to tackle this one as a pair, via Skype. With previous experience we found that having 4 people was too
I’ve been waiting to write this review for a while – ever since I knew the room was coming! I am fortunate enough to be friends with Tom at M4, who kept me entertained throughout lockdown with updates of the room, and behind the scenes information. As soon as I knew we were allowed to leave London, I booked the room and began counting down the days. Let me tell you now, I was not disappointed… The Set The first, obvious thing to point out is that this isn’t a room – it is, in
Having taken the plunge at the start of the holiday, I wanted to get one more room in before returning to our small London flat and shutting ourselves away again. I debated over which room to do for a while, knowing we wanted to return to ‘Escape Kent’, but simultaneously wanting to get the most for our money. Having already completed two of the rooms on offer (Pirates of the Stormy Seas, which I highly recommend for the set design alone, and Vicé Versa, which I similarly rec
We recently spent a week in Kent with the family, and decided to take the plunge and get back into the swing of things with an escape room. The industry has been hit hard by the outbreak (as expected), so we felt it was important to get back out there and supporting them! We’ve visited ‘Escape Kent’ before, and seen them grow from having only 2 rooms to now operating out of 3 buildings! For this reason we decided to continue our support, knowing the level of room design is hi
This room marked a few different firsts for me – the first Cowboy themed room I’ve done, the first time I’ve been surprised by a trip to an escape room, and the first time my boyfriend has successfully surprised me! The front of Clever Dilemma is pretty unassuming, located closer to the train station rather than the main highstreet. However, once inside we were greated by a rather adorable host (the resident pug), as well as his very friendly owners. The Set Upon walking into
Having completed their other two rooms (Spacescape and Frankenscape), I was greatly looking forward to our summer holiday – a return to Kent meant a return to ‘CTRL ALT ESC’! Their other two rooms were outstanding (Spacescape remains one of my favourites), and I had heard great things about their new room, ‘Detention’. Rather than my usual team, we were instead composed of 2 experienced players, and 2 tag-a-longs. Fortunately, I don’t play rooms for the record, but rather the
I admit I have overlooked this company on more than once occasion due to their website, but after a strong recommendation from some friends my mother and I went ahead and booked not one, but two rooms here. It is a little out of the way, and looks very unassuming. However, despite the plain façade (and my raging migraine) we had a fantastic time here. It it definitely an example of when you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but also testament to excellent customer service.
